Objectives
After attending this meeting, participants will…

  • Approach public health issues through a health equity lens by understanding Trinity County’s historical trauma and social determinants of health, including poverty
  • Work with community partners to build resilience
  • Communicate effectively—to the level of a two-minute elevator speech—about how social determinants and historical trauma have affected community health
  • Use the System of Prevention framework as a tool for advancing equitable health, safety, and wellbeing, and its potential application in Trinity County and its surrounding regions
